Cutting Edge FUE Method in Hair Transplant

In FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique; first, donor area is numbed with a painless local anesthesia, and then, hair follicles are extracted one by one and stored in a special solution; finally, hair follicles are implanted to bald or thinned areas.

Hair follicles are harvested from the donor area one by one and transplanted to areas of hair loss.

The punch on the tip of FUE motor is slightly touched on the scalp, such that the hair string is centralized. This small punch impact separates the hair follicle from the tissue and the follicle is gently extracted from the donor area using a forceps.

A hair follicle may contain one, two or more than three hair.

After hair follicles are harvested from the posterior neck, they are sorted out before they are stored in the solution.

This way, the follicles planned to be transplanted are harvested using FUE motor.

FUE is the hair transplant technique that is most commonly preferred, as it does not last as long as the preliminary techniques and it is not a surgical procedure.

• Hair transplant is a surgical procedure that aims hair growth in areas of complete or partial hair loss, thinned segments of scalp, hair loss secondary to burn or sac or congenital hair loss.
• The first step of a hair transplant surgery is hair analysis. The productive area is drawn for the hair follicles to be harvested from the posterior neck. Next, the hair follicles harvested from the posterior neck are sorted out and stored in special solutions. A hair line is drawn on the bald or thinned area in line with the forehead structure. Next, canals are incised that are enable transplantation of the follicles. These canals are critical as they determine the direction and density of the hair. And finally, harvested follicles are placed, one by one, into these canals using special devices.
• Hair transplant is a serious surgery which should be performed in a fully equipped hospital at sterile condition by medical personnel under supervision of a plastic surgeon.
• Transplanted hairs fall down within a month. After all transplanted hair sheds; it takes more than 100 days to start growing again. Full adaptation of grown hair requires 8 to 12 months. Advices of the physician should be followed strictly in this period of time.
